Warangal: Telangana police have arrested 15 individuals and are searching for 9 more in connection with a massive illegal land registration scam involving the Dharani and Bhu Bharati portals. The main accused have been identified as Basavaraju and Jella Pandu, according to Warangal Commissioner Sunpreet Singh.
The illegal registrations took place in Janagam and Yadadri districts. Fraudulent transactions through online service centers in Yadagirigutta caused the state government an estimated loss of ₹3.90 crore. Police have recovered ₹63.19 lakh in cash and seized ₹1 lakh from bank accounts linked to the accused.
Authorities also confiscated high-value property documents, vehicles, laptops, desktops, and mobile phones. Special teams are continuing the search for the fugitives. Officials have warned that additional arrests are expected in connection with the Dharani–Bhoomi Bharati case.
