Gadwal: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao launched a sharp attack on the Indian National Congress during a public meeting in Gadwal, questioning the absence of MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy. He recalled that Reddy had once declared he would rather lay his head under a train than join Congress, yet now claims to remain with BRS. KTR predicted that a byelection in Gadwal is likely within six to nine months and said the Supreme Court of India is taking defections seriously. He challenged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to make 10 defected MLAs resign and contest bypolls, asserting that only then would people see the difference between 10 years of K. Chandrashekar Rao’s rule and 20 years of Congress governance.

Alleges Corruption in Urea Distribution and Job Recruitment
KTR also accused Congress leaders of selling subsidized urea meant for farmers on the black market, saying farmers are struggling under harsh conditions while Congress leaders profit. He further alleged that around 563 Group-1 government posts were sold for nearly ₹1,700 crore, claiming each job was priced at around Rs 3 crore. KTR said students are openly accusing the government of selling Group-1 posts, and demanded accountability from the ruling party.
