Hyderabad: As the Telangana Assembly sessions are set to commence on Monday, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) have launched sharp criticisms against the Congress government.
Addressing the media on Sunday, KTR accused the Congress of failing on multiple fronts.
He highlighted the poor conditions in Gurukul schools, backed by a report led by RS Praveen Kumar, and criticized the government’s alleged forceful land acquisitions for the Pharma City project. “We will firmly oppose any attacks on farmers and land grabbing for such projects,” he asserted.

KTR also announced plans to question the Congress in the Assembly over its governance failures, including unfulfilled promises such as loan waivers for farmers and mismanagement at procurement centers. He accused the Congress of deceiving the public with “victory celebrations” despite failing to deliver on its manifesto.
Former Chief Minister KCR also weighed in on the controversy surrounding the alteration of the Telangana Talli statue. Calling it a “barbaric act,” KCR questioned the Congress government’s priorities, stating, “Is this what governments should focus on?” He urged BRS legislators to raise the issue in the Assembly and expose the Congress’s governance shortcomings.

Ahead of the sessions, KCR met with BRS MLAs and MLCs at his Erravalli farmhouse, directing them to address critical issues, including the Congress’s failure to fulfill promises and resolve state problems. The BRS leadership has made its intentions clear, signaling an intense confrontation in the Assembly over the Congress government’s performance.
