Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday concluded an eight-hour-long interrogation of BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Formula E car racing event.

During the questioning, officials sought access to the mobile phones used by KTR at the time of the event. However, KTR informed the investigators that he had not brought his phone to the session. The ACB has directed him to submit the relevant mobile devices by June 18 for further examination.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan after the inquiry, KTR accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of avoiding a discussion on the matter in the Legislative Assembly. “I challenged Revanth to a debate in the Assembly and even expressed willingness to undergo a lie detector test, but he disappeared,” KTR stated.

He further alleged that the ACB officials repeatedly asked the same questions during the investigation. “I asked them where corruption occurred. The questions seemed to be dictated from above. Revanth, having served a jail term, now wants to see us behind bars for his own satisfaction,” KTR claimed.

Reiterating his stance, KTR added, “Even if I am jailed, I will consider it a break. I am not afraid of being implicated in multiple cases or spending time in prison.”
