Hyderabad: Former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has sounded the alarm over the deteriorating law and order situation in Telangana, citing a recent spike in violent crimes. Opposition parties have pointed out that 28 murders occurred within a single month, holding the state government accountable for failing to maintain public safety. Notable incidents include a daylight jewelry store robbery, the killing of a 12-year-old girl in Kukatpally on August 18, the shooting of a CPI leader in Shalivahana Nagar, and the brutal murder of another political figure in Medak district.

In a post on X, KTR shared newspaper clippings highlighting these events and expressed concern over the growing fear among citizens. He criticized the Congress-led administration for neglecting public safety and accused it of using the Telangana police for political purposes, which he claims has further weakened law and order. Emphasizing that citizens deserve safety rather than fear, he called attention to the urgent need for stronger security measures.

Observers have also raised concerns about the absence of a home minister in the state, which may have contributed to the declining law and order. Calls for immediate action to restore security and implement proactive policing are increasing, with citizens urging the government to ensure public safety and prevent further violent incidents.
