BRS MLA K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his apparent shift in stance towards Megha Engineering, a company he once vehemently opposed while in the opposition. KTR expressed his discontent over the CM’s alleged favoritism towards Megha Engineering after coming to power, questioning the decision to award the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project to the same company implicated in the Sunkishala incident.
KTR highlighted the inconsistency in Revanth Reddy’s actions, noting that the CM had previously accused Megha Engineering of serious wrongdoings during the BRS regime. He also expressed frustration that despite repeated demands from the opposition to blacklist Megha Engineering and initiate a judicial inquiry into the Sunkishala incident, the government has not taken any action.
Furthermore, KTR questioned the rationale behind awarding a project worth Rs. 4,350 crore to a company that was previously criticized by Revanth Reddy as exploiting Telangana’s resources. He called on the Chief Minister to clarify his apparent change in attitude and explain his special interest in Megha Engineering to the public.
