Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has levelled serious allegations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, stating that the CM is obstructing the development of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) lands out of personal resentment. “Since he couldn’t benefit, he wants no one else to,” KTR said, during an informal interaction with the media at Telangana Bhavan.
He claimed a massive land scam is brewing around Kanche and Gachibowli, involving thousands of crores of rupees, and alleged that a BJP MP is also linked to the issue. “The full details of this land scam will be exposed in the next two to three days,” KTR asserted.
He further described Revanth Reddy as a “joint Chief Minister for both Congress and BJP” and remarked that the Telangana CM is aiming to be the most powerful among his counterparts across the country.
Taking a dig at the government’s use of AI tools, KTR said, “In our context, AI seems to stand for ‘Anumula Intelligence’.” He accused the Congress government of using AI-generated videos to escape accountability and suppress criticism, stating that the state is being run on negative policies and political vendettas.
KTR also alleged that the Congress government is targeting opposition leaders by filing cases from the level of former sarpanches to former Chief Ministers. While welcoming the government’s move to withdraw cases against HCU students, he demanded that action be taken against those responsible for acts of animal cruelty during the unrest.
He accused the Congress of using a digital toolkit to launch social media attacks against the BRS and claimed that large sums are being spent to fuel this campaign.
On the issue of BC reservations, KTR pointed out that Rahul Gandhi did not attend the Congress protest as the demand is unrealistic. He also questioned the state government’s inability to expand the cabinet even after 16–17 months in office, noting that repeated visits to Delhi have failed to bring a single rupee in aid.
“The central leadership controls both national parties. One carries the shoes, the other the bags,” KTR concluded, suggesting both Congress and BJP lack autonomy and remain submissive to Delhi’s influence.
