An interesting political development unfolded in Telangana as Congress ministers Konda Surekha and Danasari Seethakka met former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) at his Erravelli farmhouse on Thursday (January 8). Setting aside political differences between the ruling party and the opposition, the meeting drew attention as the two women ministers paid a courtesy visit to KCR to invite him to the Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Maha Jatara.
Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Seethakka were received warmly by former MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who presented saplings and escorted them to KCR. On behalf of the Telangana government, the ministers formally invited KCR and his wife, Sobhamma, to attend the upcoming Maha Jatara, the country’s largest tribal festival. The ministers felicitated KCR with a shawl and presented the official invitation along with Medaram prasadam.
KCR and Sobhamma reciprocated with a cordial welcome, greeting the ministers warmly and extending traditional hospitality. The interaction remained informal, with discussions on well-being and mutual courtesies, reflecting a rare moment of political civility ahead of the grand tribal festival scheduled from January 28 to January 31 at Medaram.
