The long-awaited cabinet expansion in Telangana seems imminent, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy scheduled to meet top Congress leaders in Delhi. Sources indicate the discussions will focus on the recently concluded Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections and finalize the cabinet expansion plan.
Despite earlier speculations, the cabinet expansion was delayed multiple times. However, senior leaders, including the PCC chief, have confirmed that it will happen after the Maharashtra elections. With the Congress government completing its first year in office on December 7, the expansion is likely to coincide with this milestone. Reports suggest that the new ministers will be finalized before the assembly sessions begin on December 9.
