Union Minister Kishan Reddy stated that the central government has structured the Union Budget to strengthen the country’s economic stability and growth. Speaking to the media in Delhi, he emphasized that the government has increased fertilizer subsidies to support farmers, which will also directly benefit Telangana’s agricultural community. He noted that the overall budget has grown compared to last year, and highlighted a special scheme for the Kakatiya Textile Park aimed at promoting industrial development in the state.

Kishan Reddy also announced that the government plans to establish one girls’ hostel in each district, ensuring 33 hostels across Telangana. He highlighted initiatives to boost data center development, noting that incentives provided for such projects will benefit Telangana as well. Additionally, the tax on students pursuing education abroad has been reduced from 5 percent to 2 percent, providing significant financial relief to Telugu students.

On infrastructure, he stated that the railway budget has been increased to ₹2.77 lakh crore, with three high-speed rail corridors slated for Telangana. While there is no separate allocation for metro rail projects in the budget, he clarified that funds will be released by the Urban Development Department once the detailed project reports (DPRs) are completed and approved by the cabinet.

Kishan Reddy concluded by stressing that the Modi government is taking measures to enhance employment opportunities across the country. He reiterated that the budget focuses on inclusive growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare, ensuring that Telangana and other states benefit from the central government’s economic and developmental initiatives.
