New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take firm action against the United States in response to the 50% tariff imposed on Indian goods. Addressing the media, Kejriwal demanded that India impose 75% or even 100% tariffs on American products, emphasizing that the nation would stand behind the government in protecting India’s economic interests. He described US President Donald Trump as “vindictive” and asserted that a firm stance would compel the US to reconsider its measures.
मोदी जी थोड़ी हिम्मत दिखाइए। अमेरिका पर 75% टैरिफ लगाइए फिर देखते हैं ट्रम्प झुकता है कि नहीं।

Kejriwal also strongly criticized the central government’s decision to waive the 11% import duty on US cotton, warning that it would harm farmers in states such as Gujarat, Punjab, and Telangana. He argued that cheaper imports could reduce domestic demand for Indian cotton, potentially leading to financial distress and even suicides among farmers, and urged the government to revoke the decision immediately.
