Kejriwal Reacts to AAP’s Defeat in Delhi Assembly Elections

Delhi: Former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal responded to the party’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, affirming that AAP entered politics to serve the people and will continue to stand by them despite the loss. He acknowledged the people’s verdict and expressed gratitude for the party’s efforts in improving education, healthcare, and infrastructure in Delhi over the past decade.

Kejriwal urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to fulfill their promises made during the election campaign. He extended congratulations to the victorious BJP leaders and thanked the AAP leaders and workers who had supported the party.

“Despite our loss, we remain committed to serving the people of Delhi. We have fought for the rights and development of our citizens, providing free education, healthcare, electricity, drinking water, and other essential services, an achievement no other party has matched,” Kejriwal stated.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi also expressed her gratitude to the voters of Kalkaji for re-electing her, thanking them for their trust. She emphasized that, although AAP faced defeat, the party would continue to oppose the BJP’s corruption and illegal activities.

The election results marked a significant victory for the BJP, which has regained control of the Delhi Assembly after 27 years. Prominent AAP leaders, including Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain, were among those defeated in the elections.
