BRS Chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) honored the legacy of renowned poet and Padma Bhushan awardee Kaloji Narayana Rao on his birth anniversary today. Speaking on the occasion, KCR praised Kaloji as a beacon of inspiration whose life was dedicated to the cause of Telangana.
KCR described Kaloji as a humanitarian who led a life of resistance and dedication, entirely devoted to the cause of Telangana. He recalled that when he embarked on the journey for the formation of Telangana, Kaloji blessed him wholeheartedly. KCR also announced that the state government has declared Kaloji’s birthday as Telangana Language Day to continue his legacy.
The government has established the Kaloji Award to honor literary figures who have made significant contributions to Telangana literature and language. Additionally, the state medical university has been named after Kaloji, and a Kaloji Art Centre has been set up in Warangal. KCR emphasized that Kaloji’s poetry and thoughts remain a timeless source of inspiration.
