Hyderabad: BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday lashed out at the Telangana government for its handling of the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) land issue, stating that the administration’s hasty actions have damaged the state’s image before the Supreme Court.
Addressing party leaders from the erstwhile Nalgonda, Khammam, and Mahabubnagar districts at his Erravelli farmhouse, the former Chief Minister extended his support to HCU students protesting to protect forest land and the environment. He praised their peaceful agitation and said such initiatives reflect a commitment to public welfare.
“The aspirations of the people are best understood by the BRS, a party born out of a people’s movement,” he said.
