Hyderabad: Telangana former Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has approached the High Court challenging the report submitted by the Justice P.C. Ghosh Commission on the Kaleshwaram project. Alleging that the commission’s findings are flawed and politically biased, KCR has sought a stay on the report.
Former minister Harish Rao has also filed separate petitions raising similar concerns. The petitions claim that the commission, appointed during the Congress government, acted with political motives and produced a report favoring government interests. The High Court is scheduled to hear KCR’s petition on Wednesday.
The Kaleshwaram Commission report was recently approved by the Telangana state cabinet. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the report contains detailed analytical observations and will soon be tabled in the Assembly. He added that inputs from all political parties will be sought before deciding on further action. KCR’s move has sparked significant political discussion regarding the Kaleshwaram project.
