Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti president Kavitha on Thursday said she would announce the name and structure of her proposed new political party within the next three months, adding that preparations are underway and a suitable launch date is being finalised.
Addressing the media, Kavitha alleged that the BRS has never acted sincerely on Backward Classes (BC) issues and urged BC voters to rethink their support for the party in municipal elections. She criticised the lack of grassroots campaigning by senior BRS leaders and questioned their silence on BC reservations, asking how the party could allot a ticket to Madhav Reddy, who had challenged BC reservations in court.
Kavitha also called on the Congress government to fulfil its promises to BC communities and allocate funds under the BC sub-plan. Taking a swipe at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, she said targeting specific sections was inappropriate, adding that the public would hold leaders accountable. She further asserted that KCR’s role in the Telangana movement cannot be erased from history.
