State politics took a new turn after Telangana Jagruti president Kavitha resigned from the BRS and her MLC post, intensifying efforts to build an independent political identity. She has been actively participating in protests questioning the government along with her supporters, signalling a more assertive political approach.
As part of this outreach, Kavitha launched an interactive “Ask Kavitha” session on X from 4 pm on Monday, drawing a strong response from users. Replying to a question, she confirmed that she would contest the 2029 Assembly elections, indicating her entry into the electoral fray as an alternative to the BRS. Responding to queries about Jagruti’s reach, she asserted that the organisation is active across Telangana and announced plans to set up committees in every village of the state.
