Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kavitha has reacted sharply to the CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project, making pointed allegations against Harish Rao and other senior leaders. She claimed that Harish Rao was removed as Irrigation Minister due to his involvement in corrupt practices related to the project. Speaking to the media, Kavitha said that corruption by Harish Rao and Santosh Rao had tarnished KCR’s reputation, questioning why no action was being taken against those responsible.
Kavitha further alleged that Revant Reddy was behind Harish Rao and Santosh Rao, and accused senior BRS leaders of indulging in corruption for personal gain in the Kaleshwaram project. She emphasized that Medigadda represents only a small part of the massive Kaleshwaram project and praised KCR for dedicating months to research solutions to bring water to Telangana.
She criticized the Congress government, asserting it was unprepared to handle disasters such as floods, while KCR had previously issued timely alerts on matters like urea supply. Kavitha expressed anguish over false allegations against her father and highlighted that Kaleshwaram would be remembered by the public for 200 years.
Kavitha also warned social media users against trolling her and accused the Congress government of wasting time through the P.C. Ghosh Commission. She expressed confidence that the CBI investigation would ultimately reveal the truth about KCR, stating that the facts would come out “like pearls washed clean” during the inquiry.
