Justice PC Ghose handed over two sealed documents to Irrigation Department Principal Secretary Rahul Bojja at BRK Bhavan. The commission, which conducted an extensive 15-month inquiry, prepared a detailed 1,000-page report. Over 115 witnesses, including engineers, officials, construction firm representatives, and political leaders, were examined during the probe.

The commission was set up in March 2024 after several pillars at the Medigadda barrage sank. The report is expected to play a key role in determining the next course of action, with the government planning to present it in the upcoming Assembly session for discussion.
Political attention is high as the project, executed during the previous BRS regime led by then Chief Minister KCR, faced allegations of cost escalations exceeding ₹1.47 lakh crore. The commission also questioned former Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao, and multiple chief engineers during the inquiry.
