Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath’s health condition has reportedly deteriorated. He has been battling serious health issues for some time and is currently undergoing treatment at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. Upon learning of his condition, senior BRS leader Harish Rao and other prominent party members rushed to the hospital to check on him. Supporters and party workers have also gathered in large numbers outside the hospital, expressing concern for their leader.
Maganti entered politics in 1983 with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He served as the State President of Telugu Yuvatha from 1985 to 1992 and was a HUDCO Director in 1987 and 1988. In 2014, he was elected as MLA from Jubilee Hills on a TDP ticket, marking his debut in the state assembly. With the political landscape changing, he later joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He secured consecutive wins from the same constituency in 2018 and 2023, completing a hat-trick of victories. Currently, he also serves as the BRS Hyderabad district president.

Kidney-Related Complications Suspected
Reports indicate that Maganti has been suffering from health complications since early this year, with speculation pointing to a kidney-related ailment. It is believed that a delay in addressing the kidney issue has led to his current critical state. He was hospitalized earlier in February with similar complications. Although his condition had temporarily stabilized, it has worsened again, raising concerns among family, party colleagues, and constituents.
