Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced the appointment of new governors for several states. Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana, while Om Prakash Mathur will serve as the Governor of Sikkim.
The President of India made these appointments on Saturday. Jishnu Dev Varma, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, is set to take over as Governor of Telangana. CP Radhakrishnan, who previously held the additional charge of Telangana and Jharkhand, has been appointed Governor of Maharashtra.
In addition to these changes, Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde has been appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan, and Om Prakash Mathur will assume the role of Governor of Sikkim. Santosh Kumar Gangwar has been designated as the Governor of Jharkhand, while Ramen Deka will serve as Governor of Chhattisgarh.
