Hyderabad: The Janasena Party has suspended Kotha Vinutha, its Srikalahasti constituency in-charge, after her alleged involvement in a murder case surfaced. The party’s high command stated that the decision was taken in response to serious allegations linking Vinutha and her husband Chandrababu to the recent murder of a youth named Rayudu in Chennai. The victim’s body was recovered from the Cooum River, and initial reports suggest he was brutally tortured and killed by a group of five individuals.
Chennai police have arrested Vinutha, Chandrababu, and three others—Shivakumar, Gopi, and Dasar—based on CCTV footage and other evidence. The case has sparked a political controversy in Andhra Pradesh, prompting swift action from Janasena leadership. The party clarified that, in addition to removing Vinutha from her constituency responsibilities, she has been suspended from the party pending further investigation.
