Reports earlier in the evening indicated that his health had deteriorated, with sources confirming that he was admitted to the ICU due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. His passing was later confirmed by a senior Mumbai police official.
A Visionary Leader of Tata Group
Tata, aged 86, was born on December 28, 1937. His leadership of the Tata Group, particularly his tenure as Chairman from 1991 to 2012, solidified his reputation as a visionary industrialist. Prior to his leadership, he worked as an assistant at Tata Industries and underwent training at the Tata plant in Jamshedpur before assuming greater responsibilities within the organization. His contributions, including the development of the affordable Tata Nano car, are widely recognized. Though the Nano’s production was halted, reports suggest that an updated Nano EV model may soon be launched.
