Tensions between India and Pakistan are intensifying, with both nations procuring weapons from their respective allies. Sweden has delivered the latest version of the AT-4 rocket launchers to India, which were previously used by India in 2016 to destroy terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). The AT-4 launchers were officially supplied by the Swedish defense manufacturer, Saab.
The AT-4 is a lightweight anti-armor weapon designed for use against enemy bunkers and military positions. Saab, following the successful delivery of the weapons to the Indian Armed Forces, issued a statement expressing pride in supplying the AT-4 anti-armor weapon system. The AT-4 is a lighter alternative to the Carl Gustav system, making it easier for soldiers to carry and use in combat.

These AT-4 rocket launchers were chosen through a tender process and are expected to be effective in single-shot operations. Additionally, the Carl Gustav system, produced by the same Swedish company, has been used by Indian commandos to destroy terrorist launch pads and Pakistani military posts, with reports indicating the Pakistani forces were providing support to infiltrators.
