During the meeting, discussions were held on the implementation of the WALTA Act. The Commissioner instructed officials to remove trees in danger of collapsing in roads and residential areas, while emphasizing the importance of tree transplantation.
The review meeting, held at the HYDRA office, was attended by officials from GHMC, HYDRA, and the Forest Department. Commissioner Ranganath directed the formation of zone-wise teams from these departments to conduct field surveys assessing the condition of trees. He also issued orders to identify dead or dying trees across Hyderabad and to regularly trim branches that obstruct power lines or traffic.
