Hyderabad: A tragic incident in the United States has claimed the life of Pole Chandrashekhar, a young student from BN Reddy Nagar, LB Nagar, Hyderabad. Chandrashekhar, who completed his BDS in 2023 and had traveled to the U.S. for higher studies, was working part-time at a gas station when he was reportedly shot by a man. He sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. Authorities informed his parents in India, leaving the family in profound grief. Efforts are underway to repatriate Chandrashekhar’s body to India.
Former Minister Harish Rao, along with LB Nagar MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy, visited the bereaved family to offer condolences. Speaking to the media, Harish Rao expressed his anguish, stating, “It is heartbreaking to see the parents in such distress after losing a son they expected to achieve great heights. We convey our deepest sympathies and urge the government to ensure the body is returned to India as soon as possible.”

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In a tweet, he said, “The death of LB Nagar student Pole Chandrashekhar in a shooting incident in the U.S. is deeply distressing. I pray for his soul’s peace and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. The government will fully support them and provide all assistance to bring Chandrashekhar’s body back to India.”
