Hyderabad: A shocking twist has emerged in the Madhura Nagar dog incident, as the postmortem report has confirmed that Pawan Kumar, a 32-year-old private employee, died due to illness and not a fatal attack by his pet dog.
Pawan Kumar had been suffering from health issues for some time and was undergoing treatment at home. On Sunday morning, his friend Sandeep arrived at Pawan’s residence to find the doors locked and no response from inside. After forcibly opening the door, Sandeep found Pawan’s body lying in a pool of blood with the pet dog nearby, its mouth stained with blood.

Initially, it was suspected that the dog might have attacked Pawan, possibly targeting his private parts. Based on these observations, the police registered a case of suspicious death and sent the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
However, the postmortem report revealed that Pawan’s death was due to health-related complications, not a dog attack. The marks on Pawan’s body and the blood on the dog’s mouth were attributed to the dog’s attempt to revive or assist its unresponsive owner. The police confirmed that the dog had likely scratched Pawan in its efforts to help, which resulted in the bloodstains.
The authorities have now clarified that the initial speculation about the dog’s involvement in Pawan’s death is unfounded. Police have urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation following the clarification of the cause of death.
