During custodial interrogation on Sunday, suspects Siraj from Vizianagaram and Sameer, who had been residing together in Hyderabad for the past six months, disclosed key details of their plan. Police revealed that the duo conspired to plant bombs in seven major cities—including Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, and Vizianagaram—with the intention to cause widespread destruction.

Preliminary findings indicate that Siraj and Sameer were in contact with terror modules based in Saudi Arabia and Oman. Additionally, they were linked to individuals identified as Farhan, Bader, and Raheem from Warangal, Hyderabad, and Delhi, respectively. Investigators found evidence of discussions related to bomb-making and coordination in a WhatsApp group under the alias “Aleem.” Police further stated that the accused intended to target non-Muslim communities, using social media platforms to facilitate the plot. The interrogation, conducted at the Vizianagaram Police Training Centre, continued throughout Sunday in multiple sessions. Local police have also launched efforts to trace links with associates in other cities as part of an expanded probe.
