Amaravati: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has harshly criticized Pulivendula MLA Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of spreading falsehoods and deceit. Anitha alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy is known for his insensitivity, claiming he behaves inappropriately by laughing around victims and making light of their suffering.
In response to Jagan’s comments about holding a protest if pharmaceutical companies do not provide compensation to victims, Anitha challenged him to first address the issue of the murderers of Babai Vivekananda Reddy. She urged Jagan to speak based on facts and not on misinformation.
Anitha highlighted that Jagan’s visit to the Achyutapuram victims and his comments accusing the government of negligence were laughable. She reminded that during Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister, a compensation of Rs 20,000 was given to those severely injured in the LG Polymers incident, and Rs 10,000 to those with partial injuries. She noted that despite 15 deaths in the LG Polymers accident, compensation of Rs 1 crore is still pending for three victims’ families.
Regarding the Essenscia accident, Anitha stated that compensation was provided through RTGS to the families of the 17 deceased and 36 injured. She criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly mishandling the situation and using it for political gain. Anitha praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for their effective monitoring and justice for the accident victims. She demanded clarification on the Rs 150 crore allocated by the YSRC government for the LG Polymers incident and questioned where the funds were allocated.
