Hyderabad: The High Court has granted interim bail to actor Allu Arjun in connection with the stampede incident at Santhya Theatre, which claimed one life and injured another. The court observed that the sections invoked in the case did not apply to the actor and emphasized that exemptions available to ordinary citizens could not be denied to him solely because he is a public figure. It further affirmed that Allu Arjun has the right to live with dignity under the law.
The incident occurred on December 5 during the grand release of Pushpa 2, when Allu Arjun made a surprise appearance at the Santhya Theatre in Hyderabad’s RTC Crossroads for a premiere show. His presence attracted massive crowds, leading to a stampede.

Revathi, a woman in the crowd, and her son, Sritej, were caught in the chaos and fell to the ground. While police attempted CPR, Revathi succumbed to her injuries. Her son is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
The stampede has drawn significant attention, overshadowing the celebratory release of Pushpa 2 and leading to legal proceedings involving the actor.
