BRS leader and former minister Harish Rao has accused the Congress government of corruption and negligence, stating that four major projects have collapsed within 15 months of its tenure. He highlighted the failures, including the collapse of the Pedda Vagu in Khammam district, the Sunkishala project, the submersion of the Vattem pump house, and the SLBC tunnel cave-in.
Questioning Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s priorities, Harish Rao criticized the government’s inaction, asking whether election campaigning was more important than saving the lives of the eight workers trapped in the SLBC tunnel. He condemned the Chief Minister for not visiting the accident site even after six days, calling it a display of irresponsibility.

Delay in Rescue Efforts
Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government has failed in handling the crisis, stating that no concrete direction has been provided for the rescue operation. “Does it take six days just to decide on the course of action?” he questioned. He criticized ministers for visiting the site briefly in the morning and leaving by evening, remarking, “Is this a tourist destination?”

Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, he stated that no issue in the state is more critical than the ongoing rescue efforts. He revealed that former Chief Minister KCR had advised them to wait before visiting the site, but even after six days, there had been no substantial progress in removing debris. “The government has done nothing to save the trapped workers,” he alleged, stressing that their visit was to assess the situation firsthand.
