The Telangana government’s decision to auction land on OLX has sparked significant controversy. In Hyderabad’s Qutbullapur, several individuals have been promoting low-priced flats through social media, claiming to sell them with enticing photographs. Concerns escalated when BJP leaders filed a complaint with the Deputy MRO, alleging that 477 plots were sold without the necessary revenue and municipal approvals, prompting government action.

Public Declaration by Encroachers

Reports indicate that some individuals have encroached on government land in Gajula Ramaram and have listed these properties for sale on OLX. BJP leader Akula Satish promptly brought this issue to the attention of the Deputy MRO, providing evidence that advertisements were posted on the prominent e-commerce platform, complete with photos, land measurements, and GPS details. Notably, the ads included a call to action, encouraging potential buyers to contact a specified number for inquiries about the land.

Sale of 477 Plots Without Approvals

The encroachment involves 16 acres of government land located near Survey Number 307 in Gajula Ramaram, adjacent to Balayya Basti in the outskirts of Hyderabad. These 477 plots have been put up for sale without obtaining the required revenue and municipal approvals. Authorities have been urged to act swiftly to prevent any fraudulent activities and to protect government property. Akula Satish expressed his outrage, emphasizing that while the Congress government is tasked with safeguarding public lands, certain individuals are attempting to sell them. He called for criminal cases to be filed against the encroachers.
