Hyderabad: Gold prices have once again surged, delivering a fresh blow to consumers. After a marginal dip last week, 24-carat gold prices in Hyderabad have now crossed the Rs 1 lakh mark, trading at Rs 1,00,210 for 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stands at Rs 91,000 per 10 grams. Silver too breached the six-figure threshold, with 1 kg priced at Rs 1,18,900. Analysts attribute this sharp uptick to a weakened US dollar and global market fluctuations that have pushed investors towards safe-haven assets like gold.
Similar price trends were observed in other cities across the country. In Chennai, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 99,280 and 22-carat at Rs 91,000 per 10 grams. New Delhi recorded prices of Rs 99,430 (24-carat) and Rs 91,150 (22-carat). Ahmedabad and Baroda reported 24-carat gold at Rs 99,330, while 22-carat gold ranged around Rs 99,105. Silver prices remain consistent across metro cities, with Hyderabad, Kerala, and Chennai all reporting Rs 1,18,900 per kg.
