The BRS party has initiated a ‘ghar wapsi’ operation aimed at bringing back MLAs who have left the party. This morning, Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy rejoined the BRS in the presence of KTR. Krishna Mohan Reddy had quit the BRS on May 7 to join the Congress. There is speculation that other MLAs who switched to Congress may also return to the BRS following Krishna Mohan Reddy’s example.
Bhadrachalam BRS MLA Vellam Venkatrao recently met with BRS working president KTR and MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy, fueling rumours of his possible return to the party. Additionally, Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah and Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar are reportedly likely to rejoin the BRS.
In recent days, the BRS party has emphasized that the disqualification of MLAs who switched sides and subsequent by-elections in their constituencies are inevitable. The party has also launched a legal battle to this end. Amidst these developments, there is talk that the fear of disqualification is prompting the MLAs who switched parties to reconsider their positions and look back at the BRS.
