In a fresh legal development, former BRS Minister KTR is facing a criminal petition filed against him in the Nampally Special Court. Businessman Sudeen Srujan Reddy has accused KTR of making baseless allegations regarding the Amrit Tender, which has led to a significant legal setback for the former minister.
Allegations of Misleading the Public
Srujan Reddy, in his petition, claims that KTR’s allegations are misleading the public. He clarified that Shodh Constructions, which KTR allegedly linked to him, was established in 2011. Reddy further emphasized that he has no shares in the company, nor is he a director. He accused KTR of falsely linking him to Shodh Constructions to mislead the public.
Amrit Tender and Transparency in Bidding Process
The AMR-Shodh-IHP joint venture, as part of the Amrit 2 project, secured the Package 1 contract. Contrary to KTR’s statements, Shodh Constructions holds a 29% share, not 80%, in the joint venture. Reddy pointed out that the e-tendering process for the project was conducted transparently, but KTR continues to make unfounded accusations. He added that KTR, as a former minister, should have a clear understanding of the tendering process but is allegedly making these claims to harm his personal reputation.
Legal Action Taken
Reddy, after sending legal notices to KTR, decided to take legal action when KTR did not change his stance. The criminal petition has now been filed, signaling a serious legal challenge for the former minister.
