A fatal accident occurred on Saturday night in Madikonda, Kazipet mandal, Hanumakonda district, when a woman was struck by a vehicle owned by former BRS MLA Rajaiah. The deceased, identified as Swapna (40), was crossing the road between the dividers at SC Colony when she was hit by Rajaiah’s car, which was traveling from Hyderabad to Hanumakonda.
Swapna died at the scene. Rajaiah, who was in the vehicle at the time of the accident, reported the incident to Madikonda police after abandoning the car at Bapuji Nagar. He subsequently left the location. The police have opened an investigation into the accident. The driver is currently missing, and a case has been registered.
