Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is witnessing internal tremors following a letter written by MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha to her father and party president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). The contents of the letter, reportedly critical of certain party leaders, have sparked intense debate within the party. Speculation is also rife that Kavitha may float a new political outfit.
Amid these developments, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) met with KCR at the party chief’s farmhouse in Erravelli. The meeting is being viewed as significant against the backdrop of Kavitha’s remarks and the growing unrest within party ranks. According to sources, discussions focused on Kavitha’s letter, the emerging rumours about a new party, and recent notices issued in connection with the Kaleshwaram project.

Kavitha’s reported comments—calling her father “a god surrounded by demons”—have caused a stir, prompting widespread speculation about whom the criticism was aimed at. The party cadre has been left confused and concerned over the internal discord.
KTR is also expected to travel to London and the United States on May 28 as part of BRS’s silver jubilee celebrations. His meeting with KCR also reportedly included discussions about preparations for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations scheduled for June 2. Sources suggest the duo discussed the party’s action plan for the occasion.
The internal developments have raised questions about the direction of the BRS leadership at a crucial juncture as it plans major events and confronts emerging challenges.
