Jeedimetla: A major fire broke out at the SSV industry in Jeedimetla, and despite efforts, the flames continue to spread uncontrollably. Firefighters are struggling to control the fire, with 7 fire engines and 40 water tankers deployed to contain the blaze, but the flames are not yet under control.
The fire initially started on the third floor of the building and has now spread to the lower levels. A large quantity of raw materials used in the production of polythene bags is stored on the first floor, which has further fueled the fire, making it more difficult to contain.
Building in Danger of Collapsing
Firefighting personnel, along with teams from DRF, GHMC, and police staff from four stations, are working tirelessly to control the situation. However, the nighttime conditions are creating obstacles for rescue operations. Authorities have reported that the building is now at risk of collapsing due to the intense fire. To avoid traffic disruptions on Dhoolapalli Road, police have diverted traffic, as the fire continues to pose a major challenge.
