The nomination process began immediately following the release of the notification and will continue until February 10, with submissions accepted from 11 AM to 3 PM daily. Nominations will be scrutinized on February 11, and the deadline for withdrawal is set for 3 PM on February 13. The final list of candidates will be published after that.

The Election Commission has appointed Nalgonda Collector Tripathi and Karimnagar Collector Pamela Satpathy as the officials overseeing the election process. A total of 341,313 voters are eligible in the Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad, and Adilabad districts for the Graduate MLC election, which includes three third-gender voters. Only individuals with a graduate degree are eligible to vote in this election.

In the previous term, former MLA Jeevan Reddy represented the Graduate MLC seat, but he has decided not to contest this election. The Congress party is likely to field Alphons Narendra Reddy as a candidate.

Although the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party has previously won the seat twice, they have chosen not to contest in this election. However, the party may extend its support to one of the contesting candidates.

Polling for the teacher constituency in the Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda area will be conducted at the Nalgonda Collectorate. In the four combined districts, a total of 499 polling stations will be set up for graduate voters, with 274 centers for teacher voters. The election will cover 191 mandals in the region, with 24,905 voters eligible to participate.
