Hyderabad: Producer Dil Raju has expressed disappointment over former Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s (KTR) remarks regarding the recent meeting between the Telugu film industry and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He described the discussions as positive and transparent, criticizing KTR’s objections as unwarranted.
Speaking to the media, Dil Raju emphasized that the meeting was conducted openly, involving all stakeholders. “This was not a private discussion but an open forum with no hidden agendas. The Telugu film industry is highly satisfied with the outcomes,” he stated. He also acknowledged the Chief Minister’s vision for Telangana’s development and the industry’s role in contributing to the state’s growth and social welfare, a commitment that representatives of the industry wholeheartedly supported.
Dil Raju lauded Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s strong vision of transforming Hyderabad into a global entertainment hub, calling it a significant initiative. He appealed to political leaders to avoid dragging the film industry into controversies or using it for political attacks and counterattacks.
Former minister KTR alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was using the film industry to divert attention from public issues. He accused the CM of going silent after resolving matters with the industry, a claim that has generated considerable debate.
The Telugu film industry has urged all parties to refrain from politicizing its engagements with the government and to support efforts aimed at fostering growth and collaboration.
