Australian cricketer David Warner has expressed deep concern over the recent Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed the lives of several medical students. Taking to social media, Warner reacted to a comment by a former Air India employee named Vivek, who alleged that the airline’s Boeing aircraft have had technical issues for years and that concerns raised by pilots, engineers, and crew were ignored by the management. Sharing a screenshot of the comment, Warner wrote, “If this is true, I will never fly Air India again.” His remarks have gone viral, adding further scrutiny on the airline in the wake of the tragedy.
Team India and WTC Finalists Pay Tribute to Crash Victims
Members of Team India paid tribute to the victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash by observing a two-minute silence before their intra-squad match at Beckenham, England, where they are preparing for a five-Test series starting June 20. Players and staff also wore black armbands in memory of the deceased. In a similar gesture, players from Australia and South Africa also sported black ribbons during the ICC World Test Championship final at Lord’s. The symbolic tributes by the cricketing fraternity highlighted the international solidarity and mourning following the tragic incident.
