In a significant development in the Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani case, former Vijayawada DCP Vishal Gunni has provided crucial testimony. The case, which has seen three IPS officers suspended due to allegations of involvement in the harassment, has now received important information through Gunni’s detailed written statement.
According to Gunni’s statement, he received instructions from then-Intelligence DG P.S.R. Anjaneyulu on how to proceed with the Jethwani case. Gunni detailed that Anjaneyulu outlined the entire strategy for handling the case, including the methods for Jethwani’s arrest and the specifics of filing the case.
Gunni also revealed that Anjaneyulu pressured him to remain in his current assignment until the completion of the case, stating that a relief order would only be issued after the case was fully resolved. This included a directive for Gunni to stay in the current location and not move to Visakhapatnam until the case was concluded.
Additionally, Gunni’s testimony includes information on the involvement of the Vijayawada Task Force team and Hyderabad’s Vidhyasagar in traveling to Mumbai. On February 2, Vidhyasagar provided critical information about Jethwani’s movements, leading to her subsequent arrest and detention.
