Telangana municipal election results are coming in, with the ruling Congress party maintaining strong momentum across the state while opposition parties BRS and BJP are putting up stiff competition. In Chennur Municipality of Mancherial district, Congress secured a decisive victory, winning 11 out of 18 wards and establishing a clear majority. BRS managed to win 4 wards, BJP 2, and one ward went to an independent candidate, reflecting a competitive but ultimately dominant showing by Congress.

The party also recorded sensational victories in Dharmapuri Municipality of Jagtial district, where Congress candidates swept all 15 wards, leaving no seats for the opposition. Under the leadership of local MLA and Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar, the clean sweep has energized the party cadre and reinforced Congress’s influence in the region.

In Peddapalli Municipality, Congress continued its winning streak by securing 27 out of 36 wards, firmly establishing control of the municipal board. BRS and BJP were limited to a single seat each, while Forward Bloc candidates won five seats, emerging as the second-largest group. The results indicate Congress’s sustained dominance in key municipalities and the challenge faced by opposition parties in consolidating their influence.
