The Congress party has suspended MLC Chintapandu Naveen, popularly known as Teenmaar Mallanna, following disciplinary action. Telangana Congress Disciplinary Committee Chairman Chinna Reddy issued an official statement confirming the decision.
Teenmaar Mallanna recently made public statements criticizing the Congress party over the caste census issue. In response, the party’s disciplinary committee issued a show-cause notice on February 5, directing him to provide an explanation by February 12. However, he did not respond, leading the committee to take strict action and suspend him from the party.
The suspension follows the arrival of Telangana Congress’ new in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, who visited the state for the first time and held meetings with party leaders. Reports indicate that several leaders had lodged complaints against Teenmaar Mallanna, prompting the disciplinary action.

Mallanna has been openly criticizing the Congress party and government on various issues, including the caste census. His remarks against a particular community sparked controversy, and he has consistently targeted senior party leaders. As pressure mounted for action against him, the disciplinary committee issued notices earlier this month. His repeated refusal to respond ultimately resulted in his suspension.
TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud responded to the suspension, stating that this serves as a warning to those acting against the party. He emphasized that any leader who crosses the party line will face similar consequences.
