ionIn a strategic move ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, the Congress party is reportedly gearing up to revive ‘Operation Akarsh,’ aiming to induct prominent leaders into its fold. Among those speculated to join the Congress is BRS leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav. Rumors suggest that Talasani has been lobbying through Akhilesh Yadav, and the decision on his entry is said to be awaiting approval from Rahul Gandhi. If cleared, Talasani is expected to join the Congress soon.

However, the reception of BRS MLAs who have previously joined Congress appears lukewarm, with reports indicating that these leaders are not receiving significant attention within the party. This situation has led to claims that there is little enthusiasm among other BRS leaders to switch allegiances.

In response, Telangana Congress leader Revanth Reddy is reportedly preparing to reassure potential defectors about their political future. Upon his return from a U.S. tour, Revanth is expected to engage in discussions with party leaders and intensify efforts under ‘Operation Akarsh.’ Notably, 10 BRS MLAs have already crossed over to the Congress, signaling a potentially significant shift in the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections.
