Congress Leadership Issues Stern Warnings to Telangana Ministers Amid Internal Disputes

Hyderabad: As Telangana gears up for upcoming panchayat elections, the Congress high command has turned its focus to internal discipline. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge is actively reviewing complaints from the state and has summoned key leaders to New Delhi for discussions. Among them is Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who is believed to have received a strong warning from Kharge over his recent conduct.

According to party sources, Kharge sought details on the complaints lodged by other ministers and MLAs against Ponguleti. He reportedly instructed all senior leaders to exercise caution in public statements and not to cause embarrassment to the party or the state government. More ministers and influential figures from Telangana are expected to be called to Delhi soon. Kharge has also urged leaders to complete their assigned tasks before the local body election activity intensifies.

Amid these developments, internal discord within the Telangana Congress appears to be escalating. The party’s disciplinary committee convened on Thursday to deliberate on the infighting among various leaders across the state. The committee held detailed discussions on the complaints received but stopped short of announcing disciplinary actions. However, it is understood that procedural guidelines have been established to address the issues and maintain party cohesion ahead of the elections.
