Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu is scheduled to depart for Delhi tomorrow at 4 PM via a special flight from Gannavaram. His visit will follow a cabinet meeting earlier in the day. During his stay in Delhi, CM Chandrababu is expected to meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several other Union Ministers.
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet is set to convene tomorrow at 11 AM. The meeting will focus on discussing the government’s implemented schemes, election promises, and the state’s financial situation. Additionally, the approval of the Vote-on Account Budget Ordinance will be on the agenda.
Given the current financial conditions, the Finance Ministry has deemed it challenging to present a full-fledged budget for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Consequently, an ordinance will be proposed to extend the existing Vote-on Account Budget. The assembly session is scheduled to commence on or after the 22nd of this month.
The AP Finance Department plans to introduce an ordinance to cover the Vote-on Account for the next four months, providing financial flexibility. The Finance Ministry anticipates that it will take another two months to gain clarity on the financial situation across various departments.
