The TDP government has initiated pension distribution under the ‘NTR Bharosa’ social pension scheme, marking a significant milestone since the new government took office. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu personally launched the program by delivering pensions to beneficiaries in Penumaka, Mangalagiri constituency. Each beneficiary received ₹4,000 as the standard pension, with an additional ₹3,000 for three months, totalling ₹7,000.
Accompanied by Minister Nara Lokesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was warmly welcomed by locals. The distribution, which began today, aims to benefit 6.518 million beneficiaries across the state. The government has allocated ₹4,408 crore for this initiative, involving approximately 120,097 personnel in the distribution process.
Efforts are underway to achieve 100% distribution on the first day, with secretariat employees assigned to deliver pensions to 50 beneficiaries each. In areas with higher numbers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers are assisting. For those unable to receive pensions today, arrangements have been made for home delivery by village and ward secretariat staff tomorrow, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
