Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday at Naidu’s residence in Hyderabad. The meeting comes in response to the severe flooding in the state caused by heavy rainfall, which has left many residents in distress.

During the meeting, Chiranjeevi, alongside his son Ram Charan, announced a substantial donation of Rs 1 crore to aid flood victims. The check for this contribution was formally presented to Chief Minister Naidu, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The recent floods have caused significant devastation, particularly in Vijayawada, where extensive flooding has resulted in considerable hardship for the local population. Many residents have faced challenges such as losing livestock to floodwaters and struggling to secure basic necessities like food.

In light of the crisis, various celebrities have stepped forward to offer support, with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan being notable contributors. This father-son duo has consistently shown their willingness to assist during times of disaster, pledging Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Chiranjeevi and his family have a long-standing tradition of supporting those in need. This commitment was also evident during recent tragedies, including landslides in Kerala that resulted in multiple casualties, where they contributed to relief efforts. Additionally, following heavy rains in Telangana that led to flooding, the duo pledged another Rs 1 crore to aid the affected communities.
