After assuming power in Andhra Pradesh, TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has intensified his focus on Telangana, with strategies aimed at strengthening the party’s presence in the state. In a key meeting with senior party leaders today, Chandrababu expressed confidence that the TDP will eventually come to power in Telangana. He announced plans to rebuild the party from the grassroots level, with membership drives set to commence within the next 15 days. Emphasizing the importance of youth and BC communities, he indicated that the appointment of a state party president would follow the membership registration.
Sources suggest that Chandrababu Naidu will visit Hyderabad on the second Saturday and Sunday of every month to meet with Telangana party leaders. Since his return to power in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu has been keen on strengthening the TDP in Telangana. During a recent visit to Hyderabad, where he met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Chandrababu received a warm welcome and later addressed party cadres at NTR Bhavan, reaffirming his commitment to revitalizing the party in the region.
Chandrababu’s strategy appears to be activating the party in Telangana in time for the upcoming local body elections. However, he has yet to clarify whether the TDP will ally with the BJP or contest independently in Telangana. Speculation is rife that the leadership of Telangana TDP may be entrusted to a BC leader, reflecting the party’s focus on inclusivity and grassroots engagement.
